The Ghost of Guir House - Charles Willing Beale This starts out as a fairly decent ghost story that quickly devolves into a social commentary praising the benefits of socialism. What started as a paragraph or two of psychobabble became a page or two then a chapter or two until the ghost story itself is lost in the masturbatory thoughts of the author, written apparently for his own self-gratification rather than that of the reader.

I could not finish this one and that disappoints me. I thought I had found a diamond in the rough. As it turns out, it was just a sad lump of coal.

1 STAR, could not finish
